Essential Booking Information

In making a booking, all participants and parents/guardians of participants under the age of 18 years must confirm that they have read and understood this information, the terms and conditions and the cancellation policy.

This confirmation is declared by the person making the booking when completing the booking registration form. this person is responsible for making sure all participants have read and understand this information, the terms and conditions and cancellation policy.

For Your Safety

Please be fully aware that Paddleboarding is an adventurous and physical activity and therefore carries a degree of risk of injury.

Essential Booking Information

I accept that Stonehaven Paddleboarding will take all possible care and precautions, however will not be held liable for any injury or damage which I/my child may sustain to property or person, whilst participating in activities.

I understand that I must be able to swim at least 25m to participate in paddleboarding activities and to be able to demonstrate skills such as treading water & floating.

I understand there are risks involved in paddleboarding, such as collision with other paddleboarders or own equipment, collision with beach/harbour structures, rocks or sea floor, contact with marine creatures (jellyfish etc), and I understand that I/my child takes part at my/her/his own risk/ with my consent.

Terms & Conditions

The Booking

The person making payment for the booking accepts responsibility for payment for everyone listed on the booking and is responsible for ensuring that all other persons listed on the booking form read the Terms and Conditions below and that they are aware of the booking details. All participants must complete the declaration form before they will be allowed to take part in any activities. A parent/ guardian must sign for any participants under the age of 18. Stonehaven Paddleboarding does not accept any liability for any loss caused by failure to complete the declaration.

Changing your booking

Stonehaven Paddleboarding will make every effort to arrange any changes requested after the booking has been confirmed, providing it is no less than 3 days before the course start date/time. After this time no changes can be made. Any changes are subject to availability of activity places.

Payments and Cancellations

All activities must be paid for in full prior the activity taking place.

If you cancel a booking, or decide not to partake in the activity booked, less than 48 days before the activity start date/time you will forfeit your payment.

Activity Participation, Liability and Other Important Information

Paddleboarding is an adventurous activity which carries with it a degree of risk to both people and property, even if enjoyed under proper supervision by qualified instructors. It is also a strenuous activity that requires those taking part to have a reasonable standard of swimming and fitness. All those participating must therefore make us aware of any medical conditions, previous injuries, illnesses or allergies they may have and any medication they are taking, on the booking form at the time of booking. It is the responsibility of the participant with a medical condition (including pregnancy) to check with his or her doctor to find out if paddleboarding is within their physical and or mental parameters.

All participants must be able to swim at least 25 metres and must in no circumstances be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication at the time of the lesson which may adversely affect their abilities.

All those participating must agree to abide to all instructions and decisions that Stonehaven Paddleboarding and the Instructor makes in order to secure the safety and comfort of all participants. Whilst Stonehaven Paddleboarding takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and good condition of equipment being used, participants are responsible for immediately reporting any damage caused to the equipment or which becomes apparent whilst the equipment is in their possession.
Stonehaven Paddleboarding does not seek to limit or exclude any liability for personal injury or loss of life which may occur as a result of its own negligence or that of its employees however, Stonehaven Paddleboarding assumes no liability in respect of any personal injury, loss, damage, consequential loss or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own or its employees.

Stonehaven Paddleboarding equipment will be used for the activity, unless previously agreed. If I should damage or lose any of Stonehaven Paddleboardngs equipment, I agree to inform Stonehaven Paddleboarding and understand that I will have to pay for any repairs or replacements.

Children on Activities

Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the water by a parent or guardian who is responsible for the individual throughout the activity. Exceptions to this are activities that can be viewed by parents/guardians from the shore and within earshot – Beginner Lessons, Family Fun, Supzilla, Parties.

In booking activity the parent or guardian is agreeing that they have checked the conditions of participation in activities in full, agree to the conditions of participation and allows the person under 18 years old specified to participate.

Punctuality

Activities will begin at the time stated if you, the participant are more than 15 minutes late it may result in you missing the session completely. If you are late and it is still possible for you to take part in the lesson then it will be for the remaining scheduled time only. You will not receive a refund in these circumstances.

Paddleboard weather and sea conditions

In the event that Stonehaven Paddleboarding considers the sea/weather conditions to be unsuitable for the activity you will be informed as early as possible and will be entitled to the activity being rescheduled or a refund. Credit for any activities owed can be used within one year from the date of the cancelled activity. Any activity owed must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.

Brochure and website accuracy

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of Stonehaven Paddleboarding advertising and marketing material and website it is intended only as a guide to the services it provides and Stonehaven paddleboarding is relieved of any liability due to any errors or omissions it may contain, or any minor discrepancies between brochures, leaflets or website’s content and that service.

Any likeness or image of participants secured or taken on any of Stonehaven Paddleboarding activities may be used by Stonehaven Paddleboarding without charge, in all media for genuine promotional or marketing purposes to include all brochures, leaflets, videos or on the internet. If you, the participant, prefer not to be used in any promotional materials please inform Stonehaven Padleboarding by e mail prior to your activity.

Activity Prices

The prices printed on this website/form are valid at the time of publication. Stonehaven Paddleboarding reserves the right to increase or reduce any of these prices any time after publication. Any changes will be made clear at the time of booking. If prices have been changed after your booking your original payment amount will still stand.

Gift Vouchers

Unless otherwise stipulated, gift vouchers will be valid for 1 year from the issue date. All gift voucher redemptions after 1 year are at the discretion of the manager.

Data Protection

Permission is given for participant’s contact details to be entered into the Stonehaven Paddleboardings database and held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This information will not be forwarded to third parties.

Cancellation Policy

Stonehaven Paddleboarding reserves the right to cancel your activity for any reason it feels you may be unsafe due to weather, sea conditions or your ability to participate.

In the event of a cancellation I will give you as much notice as possible and will offer to reschedule or a full refund.

If you require to cancel your activity.

Please contact me at least 96hrs in advance to cancel or reschedule your activity. Failure to do so will result in you still being charged for your place.

Payment and Cancellation
